We took an update today on one of our upcoming breeders. She is the closest we have to our final product. In fact all she is missing is the satin sheen it seems as we got the silvering to finally stick in the Rex fur! This took 4 full generations. She is only 16.5 weeks old and 8.5# now. The fastest growing Rex furred we have had. Our goal is for a satiny silvered Rex Giant in black, chocolate and blue otters. Minimum weight is 12#. Our non Rex furred have been hitting 12# but our Rex furred generally stop at normal rex weights even out of the same litters. But she has been hitting those weights earlier so we think she will get there. Regardless, we hit the fur goal third step. Otter, Rex and silvered. One more to go. 5 years into the project.
