Gnomish Giants~Not a showable breed

Why is the Gnomish Giant not a showable breed? We are creating a pet and meat breed only. This is the only thing we ever set out to do and the only thing we want to do. A lot of show breeders keep pressing us for more answers to this question so for those who need a better answer, not that we need one but here is a very valid one. We have been working since 2014 on this breed. It is ours. It will always be ours. We have many many more years to go with it before it is an official breed. When you put your entire life into something the last thing you want to do is give it away. This has been a family project and as such is my kids inheritance. They have equally helped creat this. When you get your breed recognized by ARBA they take it from you. They copyright it. It no longer is yours. Why on earth would we give up years of our lives just to benefit them? How does that make sense? To us, they are just a rabbit club. Do we show? Sometimes. It’s just a club like golf or fishing or baseball. They don’t own everything about rabbits and rabbit breeding. Going through them doesn’t make everything ok. Not going through them doesn’t make what you are doing less valid. There are blue, chocolate, lilac and white silverfox none of which are showable. Yet even show breeders find these breeds valid. So to make sure we are very clear on this point, we are not creating a show breed. We are creating a giant pet and meat breed.
